By Part of Tool
Useful with light to moderate pressure to cover large surface area.
Useful for focused work, but not the most common part of the tool for this area.
Great for deep pressure, static compression, and deep dynamic compression.
- Commonly an issue in knee pain and anterior hip pain.
- Many athletes are ‘quad dominant’ and overuse their quads because they need posterior chain strengthening.
- If tight, can cause anterior pelvic tilt and therefore lumbar over-extension.
Avoid bony prominences at the proximal and distal attachments.
